Fellows Seminar at the Center
October 27, 2007
In 2007 the Center for Urban History has supported five young scholars - Halyna Bodnar (Lviv), Yaroslav Kit (Lublin), Rinat Sharibzhanov (Kharkiv), Maria Strelbitskaya (Warsaw), and Oksana Vynnyk (Kyiv). All of them have met at the Center to present and discuss their research on different cities and periods, ranging from Kharkiv in the interwar period to today's Warsaw.
Topics included everyday life in Lviv during World War One and Two, rural-urban migration to Lviv in the second half of the twentieth century, ethnic relationships and nationality policy in interwar Kharkiv, and contemporary perceptions of Stalinist architecture in Warsaw.
