Call for collection of private photos of war everyday life
8.3.2022
Daily life routines during the war are as important as the events covered in the media and news. That is why we are announcing the collection of private photographs representing personal experiences of the war.
Preparation of "grab bags", a stay in the bomb shelter, volunteering activities, fast meals, securing window panes with the adhesive tape - all of these have become part of daily routines. Documentation of these and other practices is an important material for understanding the impact of war, and for researching life during the war.
That is why the Urban Media Archive of the Center for Urban History encourages to share these photos and videos. Send them to our email [email protected]
Urban Media Archive of the Center for Urban History
collects, offers access, and promotes digitized or digitally created visual and audiovisual materials depicting a city and urban life. It also serves as a platform for analysis of archival data, reconsidering the role of archives in society, and communication between archivists, researchers, and the general public.
