Renaming the Foundation

On this day the foundation was officially renamed into "Center for Urban History of East-Central Europe". In the discussions leading to this decision, the foundation board concluded that the new name would better reflect the broader aims of the Center. Its mission is not only to document the past of Lviv and promote modern research on this city in cooperation with the local academic institutions, but to function as a center for urban history in the whole region of East Central Europe.
