A presentation on the Fulbright Program for students, graduates, and teachers was held. There was also a presentation by American Fulbright Fellow Ashley Bigham (Yale University), who came to Ukraine to study cultural fortresses in Western Ukraine.
The Fulbright Program announces the following competitions:
Fulbright Graduate Student Program: to study at universities in the United States for one to two years for a master's degree. The competition is open to senior students, graduates of Ukrainian universities, and PhD students. Application forms due by May 16, 2014.
Fulbright Faculty Development Program: to study in the United States for one academic year. The program targets teaching faculty and scholars under the age of 35 years, with at least two years of professional experience, who do not have an academic degree, and young PhDs (no later than 3 years after completion of degree). Application forms due by November 1, 2014.
Fulbright Scholar Program: to study in the United States for a period of four to nine months. The competition is open to candidates and doctors of sciences, cultural figures, specialists in library science, journalists, lawyers; researchers holding no academic degree with at least a five-year work experience or those who will receive their post-graduate degree by September 2015. Application forms due by October 15, 2014.
