Thousands of unique out-of-copyright materials from the New York Public Library’s holdings are now available online as high-resolution downloads for all users.
In early January 2016, the New York Public Library released up to 180,000 digitized items from its collections. From now on, everyone has the freedom to download, save, and reuse these materials as high-resolution downloads. At the same time, the NYPL improved the design and interface of its webpage offering a multitude of options and tools for exploring, viewing, and filtering public domain items by category.
All in all, the NYPL Digital Collections contain over 600,000 items, featuring books, maps, photographs, streaming video, and more.
