The History of the Holocaust in the lands of Western Ukraine and Poland

The Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, in cooperation with the Majdanek State Museum (Poland), and the Center for Urban History of East-Central Europe (Lviv, Ukraine), and with support of the American Jewish Committee and the Claims Conference announce an academic seminar for teachers of history and social sciences at Ukrainian high schools.
The seminar will consist of lectures and discussions, as well as visits to Holocaust landmarks in the territories of Western Ukraine and Eastern Poland. It will look at issues connected with the history and culture of Polish and Western Ukrainian Jewry before and during the Second World War. The seminar will take place in Ukraine (Lviv), and Poland (Lublin, Bełżec, Cracow). The seminar will open in Lviv.
