Mykyta Bilyi

digitalization assistant in the Urban Media Archive project (2024 - present))


He received his Bachelor's degree in Cultural Studies from the Ukrainian Catholic University (2023), where he defended his thesis on "Cultural Memory of the Armenian Genocide in the 21st Century: Mechanisms of Functioning (on the Example of the Lviv Armenian Community)." Currently, he is studying at the joint master's program of UCU and the University of Nottingham, "The Future of Heritage: History, Culture, Literature".

He was an intern at the Territory of Terror Museum (2021) and the NGO After Silence (2023). From July to December 2023, he participated in the Memory Savers program at the Center for Urban History, where he digitized and described paper materials, films, and photographs in the Urban Media Archive. During his internship, he worked with the collections of the Lviv Bus Plant and his own family archive.

His research interests include the study of cultural trauma and collective memory.
