Theater after the Poster

The poster is what a potential audience member sees first, before coming to the theatrical event. Despite the information revolution and other electronic factors, outside Ukraine the school of the theatrical poster grows and flourishes; why not in Ukraine? Does contemporary drama need a visual image? What lies in store for theater after the poster, and what is the way out of this crisis?

Project POST POSTER was a workshop for young designers and artists run in conjunction with the III Festival of Contemporary Playwriting, Drama.UA. Selected participants attended play readings, met with actors, directors, and playwrights, and finally, had the opportunity to create their own series of posters dedicated to contemporary plays.
