The State of Theater in Ukraine: Comparative Context and Future Possibilities

Guest lecturer and postdoctoral fellow Dr. Mayhill Fowler moderated the discussion with guests including Oksana Dudko, playwrights participating in the Drabyna Theater Festival, guests from London's Royal Court Theater and theatre scholars and lectors in Lviv. The discussion focused on challenges facing today's theatre scholars and practitioners, ideas for changing the theatrical landscape, comparing arts initiatives in Ukraine, the US, and Britain, and the future of live performance in an increasingly technological world. The discussion took place in Ukrainian and English in translation.
