Shevchenko and His Epoch

The Center for Urban History is pleased once again to participate in the international Lviv Publishers’ Forum and provide a space for discussions of issues of Ukrainian society.
As part of the forum we invite you to a presentation of a series of Shevchenko studies publications from the Krytyka Institute.
During the presentation with the participation of authors and compilers will be presented the publications that appeared in 2013-2015: studies on Shevchenko by leading Ukrainian scholars, critical publications of monuments, documents with comments, including recent books by George Grabowicz and Victor Dudka and the latest "Tales by Taras Shevchenko and Western Literature" by Oleksandr Boron, "Shevchenko and Folklore" by Stanislav Rosovetsky, and the collection "Taras Shevchenko and Tsarist Censorship."
During the meeting we will announce upcoming publishing projects, including the second volume of "Taras Shevchenko in His Lifetime and Posthumous Criticism," albums-monographs by Volodymyr Yatsiuk about Shevchenko, the book by Victor Dudka about the magazine Osnova, research by Oleksandr Boron on the poetics of Shevchenko’s prose, "Notes of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in America," and more. We will also talk about the new volumes of the Complete Works of Panteleimon Kulish ("Notes on Southern Rus," the first volume of translations of Shakespeare, two books of "The Black Council"), and studies on Kulish by Oles Fedoruk.
