Shakespeare Lives

As part of the global Year of Shakespeare program Shakespeare Lives, the Center for Urban History will host the following events organized by the First Stage of Contemporary Drama, Drama.UA and the Les Kurbas Academic Theatre of Lviv:
March 25 at 6.00 pm Natalia Torkut will lecture on "William Shakespeare: Facts, Speculation, and Mystification."The researcher will talk about those aspects and moments of Shakespeare's canonical biography that gave rise to the emergence of the so-called "Shakespearean question," as well as the anti-Stratford polemic, which proposed 58 candidates as authors of the Shakespeare Canon.
March 26 at 3.00 pmthe presentation of the book "The Light of Shakespeare's Temple"written byShakespeare scholar, and translator Mariya Hablevych (publishing house "Kolo," Drohobych) Participants: Mariya Hablevych Nataliya Torkut. The book is an attempt and a practical methodology to analyze Shakespeare's texts.
