perceptionWars
August 30 - September 3, 2014
Center for Urban History, Lviv
The fifth Week of Contemporary Art was held in Lviv.
The topic of this year’s event was "perceptionWars." The complex current situation in Ukraine prompted the organizers to make this year’s festival focus on conflicts in the media space and the personal perception of reality and to consider the problems and events that arise from this.
As part of the Week, the Center for Urban History was hosting lectures and panel discussions in the Center’s conference room.

The process of producing standardized models of perception is continuous. Where and by whom are the boundaries of perception formed? In that way they can be legitimized? How can another perception be appropriated and what threats can this carry?
