Iron Jawed Angels

The film Iron Jawed Angels (125 min. Directed by Katya von Garnier USA, 2004) was shown.

In 1918, a group of young suffragettes led by Alice Paul (Hillary Swank) fought the government of W. Wilson, the president of the United States, risking their lives, sacrificing their marriage and already limited freedom to win the right to vote for American women. The film is based on real events.

The screening was held as part of her100ry: Independent Women's Festival.
