Screening of Charlie Chaplin Films

In 2009 the world celebrates the one hundred and the twentieth anniversary of Sir Charles Spenser Chaplin (16 April 1889 – 25 December 1977), better known as Charlie Chaplin. A genius actor, scriptwriter, director and composer, Chaplin was one of the most influential personalities of the silent movies era. Over the course of the past century, his appearance on the screen has constantly brought smiles to several generations of spectators on all the continents of the world.
Lviv takes part in celebrating this event. On the initiative of the "Tymoshenko Mime Theatre" in the framework of the "KinoMisto" movie nights series of the Center for Urban History, on April 25 and 26 Chaplin’s films will be showing at the Center.
The program:
On April 25 at 6 pm "City Lights" (1931) and "Modern Times" (1936)
On April 26 at 6 pm "The Immigrant" (1916) and "The Circus" (1928) followed by a mini-performance from "Tymoshenko Mime Theatre" (Romania-Ukraine) accompanied by the "Tarasova Nich" music band (Lviv)
