Lviv or Lvivs? To the issue on the literary image of the city

In her presentation, Dr. Katarzina Kotynska talked about different movements in Lviv narration and their change in time. She demonstrated in which way groups of authors create their vision of the city and what happens when the text theoretically aimed for one group of readers is read by the adherents of the other "version".
Dr. Katarzina Kotynska
works at the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences and teaches at the Jagiellonski University. Her Doctor’s Thesis was about Lviv in Polish, Ukrainian and Russian essay field. She is also a well-known translator of Ukrainian literature pieces into Polish language.
