The street planned and created by Ivan Levynskyj architectural and construction company in the early 20th century (1904-1908) to connect Panska Street (now Franka) and Kochanowskiego Street (now K. Levytskoho). Previous names: Asnyka (1906-1943); Pergengasse (1943-1950).
