Dontsova Street
Short description
The Opata Hoffmana ( Abbott Hoffman, now Chekhova) and Gliniańska (now Dontsova) streets were laid at the turn of the twentieth century. Two practically identical Jugendstil stone houses in Lychakivska 22a and 24, which were built in 1909-1910, based on a project by Roman Feliński, became a gateway of sorts for the newly-laid Gliniańska Street. The building in 22a Lychakivska St. was later ascribed the street address of 2 Dontsova St. The entrance to 22 Lychakivska St. provides access to a corso in 8-10 Dontsova St., which boasts Jugendstil stone houses, constructed in 1906-1908 by the Ivan Levynskyi company to order of Maria Bardach, who was also proprietress of the building No. 22 in Lychakivska St.
